Traditional Pet Portraits require the highest quality image for reference. The photograph must not have been scaled, edited or had a filter applied.

As this is a hand-drawn traditional pet portrait, it is necessary for me to see all aspects of your pets' features.

The eyes, nose in particular should be clear to ensure likeness.

If you do not have a photograph that is suitable are planning to capture one for the portrait itself. I would suggest taking a close up photograph of solely the face and chest as this will allow for a more detailed outcome.

I understand that not everyone has the means to take a high-resolution photograph or if purchasing as a gift may not have the ability to indeed supply me further reference.

You will see from the group portrait below, (photo taken on a mobile), that it can be possible to create a portrait from a lesser quality image if all main areas are distinguishable.

For Character, Line or Digital Pet Portraits, I will require a brief explanation of the character type, style or colours you would like your pet to be represented by.

A brief explanation is ideal at this initial stage as I can discuss specifics with you as we proceed with the process.

The inclusion of photographs would also be beneficial as a review of suitability is required.

Images should be as high quality as possible, with no harsh shadow or highlights and no filters applied.

With the subject of the rainbow bridge portraits being what it is, I understand that working with older images may be required.

I will always, wherever possible try to compile an image to best reflect your pets life.
